Over 1,100 students were named to the Fall 2020 President's List at Tallahassee Community College.

Over 40 students from Tallahassee Community College were named to the Florida College System Activities Association's All-Academic Team for having attained a minimum 3.30 GPA during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Over 1,300 students were named to the Spring 2020 Dean's List at Tallahassee Community College.

More than 1,400 students were named to the Spring 2020 President's List at Tallahassee Community College.

Two TCC students received awards from TCC's Division of Transitional Studies. Muraiye Pierre, of St. Maarten, was awarded the Dr. Bertha Flowers Murray award. This award acknowledges academic excellence and is conferred upon a student who has completed two or more developmental education courses and currently has a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Pierre is a scholar student, who has also been active on campus and in the community. She is a member of the Math Champions peer mentoring program, the International Student Organization and the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. Additionally, Pierre is a proud member of the St. Maarten Tallahassee Student Association, which strives to give back to the Tallahassee community. In that association, she served as the chair of the hurricane relief committee responsible for sending care packages to Caribbean countries affected by hurricanes. Among her many accolades at TCC, Pierre is a recent recipient of a Spring 2020 TCC Eagle Award. She holds a 3.65 GPA and plans to transfer to Florida A & M University in the fall. Deyon Watson, of Pensacola, is a graduate from TCC who received the Dr. Sally P. Search Award. This award is for a student who has taken any developmental education course and has shown exceptional leadership ability through community service and/or involvement in campus activities and organizations. Watson was a member of the Math Champions peer mentoring program and the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. Additionally, he served as an orientation student leader and assisted with the 2019 Eagles RISE Summer Academy. He graduated with honors in December of 2019 with his AA degree and is continuing his education in the field of nursing at TCC Throughout his stellar academic tenure at TCC, Watson also appeared on both the Dean's and President's lists. He is a recent recipient of a Spring 2020 TCC Eagle Award and currently holds a 3.42 GPA.

More than 1,800 students were named to the Fall 2019 President's List at Tallahassee Community College.

On Thursday, July 25, 40 students graduated with their Associate Degree in Nursing, with seven graduating with their Bachelor of Science in Nursing during the Tallahassee Community College Summer 2019 Nursing Pinning Ceremony.

Eleven outstanding Tallahassee Community College students were selected this summer to serve as TCC student ambassadors for the 2019-2020 academic year. Ambassadors give campus tours to prospective students, provide support for general student recruitment activities and perform other support tasks for TCC. They receive a full tuition scholarship in exchange for their service to the College. The selection process is a competitive one, and successful applicants must have a strong academic record, two letters of recommendation, and demonstrated skills in communications and teamwork. The 2019-2020 TCC student ambassadors are: Aidan Pifer, Aironne McCall, Casey Hoover, Daisey Davis, Dalton Gray, DJ Candelaria, Justine Phan, Lauren Hougland, Nicole Truncone, Shelby Walker and Spencer Christensen.

Four TCC students have been selected as the winners of the Brandon M. King Scholarship. Established in 2010, the scholarship was created by Pfc. King's mother, TCC alumna Freda King, shortly after her son's death. In 2013, Freda won a LeRoy Collings Distinguished Alumni Award from the Association of Florida Colleges. Over the past eight years, the family has raised over $85,000 in scholarship monies.

Tallahassee Community College's Surgical Technology students won third place in the inaugural Surgical Technology Scrub Bowl competition. The competition was held in National Harbor, Maryland during the 50th annual Surgical Technology Conference.

Three TCC student-athletes recently earned Florida College System Activities Association baseball honors

Graduating respiratory care student Jacquelyn Johnson Jenkins recently received two awards at her pinning ceremony. She was recognized for earning the highest GPA in the cohort and was also named the Best All Around Student, an award voted on by the class for the person that most exemplifies the qualities of a respiratory therapist.

Graduating pharmacy technician student Jihye Pope received the Pharmacy Technician Excellence Award for earning the highest GPA in the cohort and receiving the top clinical site evaluations.

Tallahassee Community College held a traditional pinning ceremony for graduates of its Associate Degree in Nursing program on May 3 in Turner Auditorium. In addition to recognizing each new registered nurse, the faculty honored several students for outstanding performance.

Dental Hygiene program graduates received an Associate in Science degree. In addition to recognizing each graduate, the faculty honored several students for outstanding performance.

Tallahassee Community College's Transitional Studies Division hosted its annual Academic Support Programs recognition ceremony on April 12. The ceremony honored graduating students who began their TCC coursework in developmental education classes, which are designed to ease students' transition to college-credit courses. Two outstanding students, Allison Mathews and Brianna Mead, delivered remarks at the ceremony.
